Paul Antonell, CEO/Engineer
After more than 20 years in the music industry, Paul has seen the recording studio through all of its trends; 8 track analog to mutitrack digital surround mixing. In no small way, Paul has contributed his engineering talents to an impressive list of projects, including Natalie Merchant's muti-platinum debut Tigerlily, Parliament Funkadelic's upcoming reunion record, and more recently, Reto Burrell's critically acclaimed sophomore effort, Shakin' Off Monkeys.
The clubhouse story begins more than 15 years ago, when Paul opened the original clubhouse in a restored riverside barn in Germantown, NY. After years of freelance engineering, and a long stint with the critically acclaimed, off-Broadway hit, The Gospel at Colonus, Paul set his sights on making Clubhouse a destination studio for those wanting to work outside of Manhattan. After 13 years, and hundreds of independent and major label records, Paul formed Clubhouse Incorporated and built one of only a handful of "ground-up" residential recording facilties in the world. Truly a world-class engineer, Paul set out to build a world-class studio. Two years later, clubhouse now resides in Rhinebeck, NY, just 90 minutes north of Manhattan, and Paul while the CEO, still mans the console at the request of many artists.
